John and Barbara Wickman are former medical missionaries with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board. They served seven years at the Baptist Hospital in Bangalore, India, and one year at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza.  He is a general surgeon and she is a registered nurse.  Dr. Wikman recently retired from a private surgery practice in Fort Smith, Alabama.  In recent years they have made several volunteer medical trips to the Baptist mission hospitals in Bangalore, India; Jibla, Yemen; and Nalerigu, Ghana.
